The Lights wrapped up their season today at the
NAIA National Championships, with three wrestlers competing on day 2 of action.
At
165 pounds,
Justin Windauer finished his national tournament run with a 2-2 record. Windauer battled in a tight match in his final bout but fell to Vladic by a narrow 4-2 decision, ending his tournament run.
At
174 pounds,
Orion Thivierge also concluded his weekend with a 2-2 record. Thivierge fought in another close matchup in his final match of the tournament but came up just short, dropping a 5-4 decision to Ross.
At
184 pounds,
Cade Gubler put together a strong showing, finishing the tournament with a 3-2 record. Gubler earned a victory over McDonald by fall at the 3:59 mark before advancing to his next match, where he was defeated by Chavez-Morales via technical fall at 5:16.
With the final matches complete, the Lights close out their season at the NAIA National Championships after several competitive performances on the national stage.
