Matt Weber, Student Assistant, 1st year
Matt joins the coaching staff after a stellar collegiate career at MSU-Northern from 2015 to 2019 that saw him earn All-American honors twice as well as being a 4 time NAIA National Qualifier. In 2016 as a true freshman, Matt dominated the National tournament by placing 3rd after beating multiple returning All-Americans. In 2018, Matt again overcame the odds by making the NAIA National Finals after upsetting the returning 2017 National Champion Josh Wenger from Grand View in the semifinals. Hands down, the 2018 finals at 141 were the most exciting of the tournament, but Matt ended his junior season falling in overtime of the National Finals.
Matt will finish his degree and graduate in May of 2020 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Trades Management.
