Great Falls, Mont- No. 7 MSU-Northern Lights won all three of their duals at the Battle of the Rockies Duals hosted by the University of Great Falls this past weekend.  Nationally ranked teams representing the NAIA were No. 4 Oklahoma City, No. 11 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), and Northern.  NCAA Division II teams wrestling in the duals included No. 8 McKendree (Ill.), No. 19 Simon Fraser, and Minot State (N.D.).
In the duals portion of the competition held on Friday, Dec. 2 the Lights took on No. 11 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), No. 4 Oklahoma City, and Minot State (N.D.). 
The Lights got off to an impressive start by defeating Lindsey Wilson 20-18.  Of the 10 matches, Northern secured five of them with strong performances coming from Ben Stroh (184) and Adam Hokenson (285) both winning by major decisions. 
In the most anticipated NAIA matchup of the day, Northern upset Oklahoma City with a final score of 27-21.  The Lights claimed six of the 10 matches.  Pins from Brennon Veis (133), Andrew Bartel (165), and Ben Stroh (184) lifted Northern to win their second dual on the day. 
To finish off the day, the Lights handed the Beavers of Minot State a 31-12 loss to claim their third overall win of the duals.  Dylan Veis (141) recorded a pin over his opponent to score six points for his squad.  Once again, Ben Stroh (184) came up big for his team winning by major decision over his competition.
