Story of the Game
After suffering a heartbreaking loss last weekend by one point in overtime, the MSU-Northern Skylights bounced back in a big way by defeating Dickinson State University 74-48. With the win, senior guard
Jacy Thompson joined the 1,000 point club with her nine points on the night (putting her at 1,001 career points).

Game Highs:
Sophomore guard
Shiloh McCormick notched a double-double with a game-high 24 points and 12 rebounds while junior forward
Jessica Curl led both teams in rebounds with 18. Senior guard
Brandy Lambourne went 5-6 from the field (2-2 from beyond the arc) to score 13 points.
Turning Point
The Skylights used a 21-10 lead at the end of the first quarter to power them past the Bluehawks early on in the game.Â
Thompson hit a three-point shot midway through the second quarter to extend the Skylight lead to 18 points. Going in to the locker room at halftime, Northern led 36-18. The second half was much of the same as the Skylights built a 27-point lead early in the fourth quarter. Â

With the win, Northern now moves to 1-1 overall.
