Story of the Game
For the second night in a row, the No. 21 Skylights had four players score in double figures as they took down the San Diego Christian College Hawks 74-47. San Diego Christian's two leading scorers came into the game with a combined scoring average of 31 points. A stingy Northern defense held both players to just 17 combined points on the night.
Stat of the Game
The Skylights shot an impressive 46.9 percent from the field going 30-64 and connected on 8-23 shots from behind the arc for a 34.8 percentage from the three-point line. Junior guard
Peyton Filius went 4-7 from downtown while senior
Jacy Thompson was 7-12 from the field.Â
Thompson had game highs in both points (19) and assists (6),
Filius notched 18 points and four assists, junior forward
Jessica Curl totaled 14 points and collected five rebounds, and sophomore guard
Shiloh McCormick notched another double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Turning Point
After a first half battle that saw the game tied 30-30 going into the intermission, the Skylights came out in the third quarter and outscored the Hawks 20-7. Filius hit a three-point shot in the opening play of the fourth quarter to build the lead to 16 at 53-37. Moments later, freshman guardsÂ

The Skylights begin their longest road trip of the season as they travel to St. George, Utah to take part in the Dixie State Tournament this upcoming weekend. They will then head straight to Jackson, Tenn. to compete in the Rotary Classic over the Thanksgiving break. All game links and information can be located on the schedule page.
