Box Score Story of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Lights hosted No. 18 Montana Western in a Frontier Conference contest on Saturday afternoon in Havre. The lights fall to the Bulldogs 42-13. Northern tailed 325 yards of total offense (142 passing and 183 rushing), while the Bulldogs accounted for 460, of which 207 yards were on the ground. Riley Marello added one sack for the Bulldogs.
Individual Stats:
The Lights offense was led by
Marvin Williams who received four passes for 91 yards with a touchdown.
Bryce Bumgardner had seven catches on the night with 49 yards.
Jett Robertson has 19 carries going for 66 yards, as
Tommy Wilson had 18 completed passes for 142 yards.
Diego Morales made two field goals and one extra point. The Lights defense was led by
Caymus Thomas and
Jaren Maki with 11 tackles each.
The Bulldogs offense was led by Jon Jund who completed 18 passes on 250 yards and three touchdowns. Devyn Christian had four rushing attempts for 65 yards. Walker McKiltrick caught four passes for 93 yards. The defense was led by Jason Ferris who had 11 tackles for the night. Riley Martello added eight tackles and one sack.
Lights So Far:
The Lights fall to 1-7 overall and 0-7 in Conference. The Bulldogs move to 6-1 overall and in conference play.
Up Next:
The Lights will travel to Helena, Mont next weekend for a matchup with Carrol College. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. Saturday.
