Story of the Game:
The Skylights snapped their first win on Saturday night in Great Falls, Mont. The Skylights started out strong, as they scored in four straight possession at the beginning of the game. In the fourth quarter,
Sam Caruth made a couple big three pointers to keep them in the lead. Down the stretch, Northern was able to snap in free throws to clinch the win.
Individual Stats:
There were four Skylights who shot in double figures. Peyton Kahr led the Skylights with 20 points shooting 8-14 from the field and 2-3 at the three point line.
Hailey Nicholson scored 15 points and had five steals.
Sam Caruth added 13 points, as
Gokce Aslan scored 12.
Sydney Hovde picked up six rebounds for the night.
Mount Royal University was led by Maddison Hooper who scored 18 points going 6-10 from the three point line. Charity Marlatt added 10 points and seven rebounds.
Stats of the Game:
The Skylights shot 45.8 percent from the field, as they made 22 of 48 shots. Northern had a great night at the three point line shooting 41.7 percent, as they forced 29 turnovers.
Mount Royal had a shooting percentage of 45.3 percent for the field and 38.5 percent at the three point line.
