Story of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Skylights hosted an exhibition game against Minot State University on Sunday Night in Havre, Mont. The Skylights had a tough loss against Minot with a score of 55-45. The Skylights came out on fire in the first quarter making the score 7-0. Northern was able to keep the lead in the first quarter (14-9). The second quarter the Beavers outscored Northern by three points making the score 26-24 Northern. In the third quarter the score went back and forth until, Kari Clements hit a three to make Minot led by six. With a Skylight turnover, the led turned to eight going into the fourth. Minot hit big shots to keep the led in the fourth quarter.

Individual Stats:
The Skylights were led by
Peyton Kehr, who had 19 points going 4-4 at the free throw line.
Allix Goldhahn and
Sam Caruth both had six points on the night.
Sydney Hovde led the Skylights in rebounds with 12 and added five points.

The Beavers were led by Mariah Payne, who had 14 points with two steals. Madison Wald had 12 points and led the team in rebounds with eight. Kari Clements had four steals on the night and added nine points.

The Skylights shot 33.3 percent in the field, 40 percent from the three point line, and 64.3 percent from the free throw line. Northern also had nine offensive boards on the night.

Minot State shot 41.8 percent from the field, 20 percent from behind the arc, and 83.3 percent from the free throw line. The Beavers had eight steals on the night.
