Northern Lights Drop to Southern Oregon 37-21

Story of the Game:
The MSU- Northern Lights travel to Southern Oregon in a Frontier Conference contest on Saturday afternoon in Ashland, Ore. The Lights fall to Southern 37-21. Northern tailed 337 yards of total offense (183 passing and 153 rushing), while Southern account for 461, of which 323 yards were in the air. The Lights held Southern to 138 yards rushing. Northern had 4-6 4th down conversions, as Southern only had 1-2. There was five sacks total on the afternoon.

Individual Stats:
The Lights offense was led by Tommy Wilson with 20 completions on 37 attempts for 184 yards and one touchdown. Bryce Bumgardner had 11 catches on the afternoon with 100 yards. Samuel Braboy had 11 carries going for 74 yards. Jett Robertson received four catches and had one touchdown. Northerns defense was led by Jake Norby with 11 tackles, as Jaren Maki had 10. Joe Fehr and BJ Hatcher had one sack each, while Ostin Welch added four breakups.

Southern Oregon was led by Wyatt Hutchinson who completed 18 passes on 323 yards and four touchdowns. Hutchinson added 8 rushing attempts for 58 yards. Rey Vega had 12 attempts for 50 yards. Bronsen Ader caught seven passes for 103 yards. Dareion Bell, Devvon Garge, Collin Crown, and John Jackson JR. had 6 tackles for the afternoon. Devvon Garge, Nick Kernaghan, and Sean Rogers had one sack each.

Lights So Far:
The Lights drop to 1-9 overall and 0-9 in conference play. Southern will move to 5-4 in conference play.
