Story of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Skylights finished strong with a win in the Phoenix Frontier Challenge on Friday Dec. 21 against San Diego Christian University (55-40). The Skylights outscored San Diego Christian in all four quarters. At half time, Northern was up 31-21.
 
Individual Stats:
All the Skylights contributed to the score on the night. The Skylights were led Peyton Kehr and Lily Hilderbrand with 10 points each. Gokce Aslan had nine points on the night with six assists.
 
San Diego Christian was led by Henriette Gahmig and Shayleen Toehe each had nine points. Courtney Cranston led the team in rebounds with six.
 
Stats of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Skylights shot a field goal percentage of 43.3, 33.3 from the arc, and 75 percent from the free throw line. Northern rebound the Hawks 42-28.
 
The Hawks shot 29.1 percentage from the field, 46.2 percent from the 3-point line, and 50 percent from the free throw.

The Skylights move to 8-6 in the overall season and 0-2 in conference play.
 
Up Next:
Northern will have a break next week, as they come back in action at home on Jan. 4 at 6 p.m. in a Frontier Conference match up against University of Montana-Western. On Saturday Jan. 5 at 6 p.m. the Skylights will play at home against Lewis-Clark State College.
