Skylights Struggle on the Road

Story of the Game:
The Skylights go 0-2 on the second day of The Labor Day Classic. Doane University sweeps Northern in three straight sets (16-25, 12-25, 16-25). Bellevue University also beats Northern in three straight sets (13-25, 19-25, 18-25). The Skylights struggled to find their rhythm. Northern could not sustain any momentum, as errors and low hitting percentage kept them from getting back into the win column.

Stats of the Game:
 As a team in two games, the Skylights tallied 74 kills on 179 attempts, and with 33 errors.

Individual Stats:
Freshman outside hitter Abigail Ellison led the team with 14 kills, adding five digs and three block assists. Setter Hailey Warren had 20 assists, and adding 4 digs. Senior Jessica Curl added another 9 kills.

The Skylights so Far:
The Skylights go 0-8 for the season.

Up Next:
The Skylights will head to Great Falls on Sept. 7 to play against Benedictine University Mesa at 1:00PM and Medicine Hat College at 7:00PM. They will also be playing in Great Falls on Sept. 8 against Mayville State University at 12:00PM and Providence Christian College at 4:00PM.
