Lights Fall to No. 22 University of Providence

 

Story of the Game:

The Lights lost 79-78 in a Frontier Conference matchup against No. 22 University of Providence on Thursday night in Great Falls, Mont. The Lights led at half time 41-37. The Argos came back and outscored Northern 37-42 in the second half.

 

Individual Stats:

The Lights were led by Kavon Bey with 16 points and eight rebounds. Adam Huse and Caulin Barkalarski each had 14 points each. Devin Bray added nine points.

 

The Argos were led by Jalen Shepard with a double-double 21 points and 10 rebounds and added six assists. Austin Starr had 18 points and Brandon Cotton added 15 points.

 

Stats of the Game:

The MSU-Northern Lights shot 44 percent from the field (32-72), 28 percent from behind the arc (8-28), and 100 percent from the free throw line.

 

University of Providence shot 48 percentage from the field, 43 percent from the 3-point line, and 75 percent from the free throw.

 

The Lights so Far:

The Lights drop to 12-9 in the overall season and 4-5 in conference play. The Argos move to 14-6 overall and 5-4 in conference play.
