Story of the Game:
The Lights played in the Cactus Classic against Mount Vernon Nazarene on Monday night in Phoenix, Arizona. The Lights lose in a tough game 63-68. David Harris hit a three point shot with :08 left in the first half to take the lead (34-33). Jacob Paul came down in the :08 and hit a 2-pointer to take back the lead going into halftime (34-35).
 
Mount Vernon Nazarene took an eight point lead. Northern came back to tie the game with 11:46 left in the game. The Lights just couldn't hold on to win the game.
 
Individual Stats:
The Lights were led by David Harris, who had 19 points on the night going 7-9 from the field. Mascio McCadney added 11 points and four assists. Cedric Crutchfield led Northern in rebounding with seven.
 
Mount Vernon Nazarene was led by Jevon Knox, who had 22 points going 10-20 from the field. Austin Jones added 19 points. Isaac White went 7-9 from the field with 17 points. Jacob Paul and Alex Johnson each had eight rebounds.  
 
Stats of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Lights shot a field goal percentage of 39, 33 from the arc, and 100 percent from the free throw line.
 
Mount Vernon Nazarene shot 52.7 percentage from the field, 28.6 percent from the 3-point line, and 75 from the free throw.

The Lights fall to 7-3 in the overall season.
