Story of the Game:
The No. 11 MSU-Northern Skylights lost to No. 15 Bethel University 62-59 in the Phoenix Frontier Challenge on Wednesday December 19 in Phoenix, Arizona. Sydney Hovde hit a two point shots at the end of the second quarter to go into half time down two (29-27). The Skylights were down by nine with 4:01 left in the third quarter. Northern went on a 16-7 run to finish the third quarter.
 
In the fourth quarter, the score went back and forth. Bethel hit a free throw and a two pointer to take the lead with :48 left on the clock. Allix Goldhahn got fouled made one of two free throws. Jani Crawford hit one for two free throws to take the lead by three. Kenya Lorton threw up a 3-point shot and missed.
 
Individual Stats:
There were four Skylights in double figures on the night. The Skylights were led by Peyton Kehr, who had 16 points going 6-11 from the field and six rebounds. Allix Goldhahn had 12 points, as Sydney Hovde added 11 points and five rebounds. Tiara Gilham added 10 points.
 
The Lady Cats were led by Tasia Jones, who had 15 points on the night and five assists. Jani Crawford had 13 points, as Mickey Head added 12 points. Tyasis Willis had 10 points and seven rebounds.  
 
Stats of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Skylights shot a field goal percentage of 46.7, 36.4 percent from the arc, and 76.5 percent from the free throw line.
 
The Lady Cats shot 35.1 percentage from the field, 19.2 percent from the 3-point line, and 81 percent from the free throw.
