Lights Drop in Last Seconds of Overtime Against Montana Tech 71-69

Story of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Lights lost to Montana Tech in overtime 71-69 on Sunday in Havre, Montana. Montana Tech controlled the first half of the game going into half time 33-26. The Lights came within two-points with 2:32 left on the clock. Diallo hit one of two free throws to extend the lead to three. Jomel Boyd hits a three-point shot to tie the game 60-60 to go into overtime.

The overtime score went back and forth until Nelson foul Baumstarck with .9 second left on the clock with Northern up by 1. Baumstarck hits both free throws to pull ahead. Northern turned over the ball and fouled to lose the Montana Tech.
 
Individual Stats:
The Lights were led by Jomel Boyd, who had 21 points and nine rebounds. David Harris had 17 points and nine rebounds. Aaron Collins added nine points.


The Orediggers were led by Markieth Brown Jr. had 18 points going 6-11 from the field. Sindou Diallo added 17 points, as Drew Huse, Cody Baumstarck, and Derrius Collins each had eight points. Cody Baumstarck led the team in rebounds with 11.

The MSU-Northern Lights shot a field goal percentage of 34, 33 percent from the arc, and 73 percent from the free throw line.
