Story of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Lights played University of Montana Western on Saturday afternoon in Havre, Montana. The Lights lost to the Bulldogs 63-7. Northern tallied 20 yards of total offense (29 passing), while the Bulldogs accounted for 473, of which 390 yards were in the air.

Kaymen Cureton went 6 for 20 through the air for 29 yards. Marvin Williams caught two passes for 15 yards, while

Montana Western quarterback Jon Jund completed 19 of 23 passes for 275 yards and five touchdowns. Running back Colten McPhee carried the ball six times for 29 yards. Nate Simkins led the receivers with eight catches for 154 yards with three touchdowns. The defense was led by Joe Caicedo and Kenai Liua who each had five tackles. Kyle Schule, Kaden Bankhead, and Tyler Walker each had one sack.
The Lights so Far:
The Lights drop to 1-8 on the season and 1-7 in conference. Montana Western moves to 5-3 in the Frontier Conference.

The Lights will head to Billings to play Rocky Mountain College. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. Saturday.
