Story of the Match:
The MSU-Northern Skylights volleyball team played against Valley City State University on Friday afternoon in the North Star Conference Challenge. The MSU-Northern Skylights won in four sets (22-26, 25-21, 25-22, and 25-21). In the first set, the game went back and forth. The Vikings were able to take the last two point to win the first set.

The second set was anyone's game, until the Skylights went on a 10-5 run to take the set. Northern started to fall behind in the third, until they went on a 12-3 run to take and extend the lead. The Skylights were able to keep their lead to win the third set. Northern went on a 5-0 run at the beginning of the fourth set. The Vikings were going away as they were able to take the lad 10-8. The Skylights battled back to take the match.  

Stars of the Match:
The Skylights were led by Rylee Burmester, who tallied 15 kills with 12 digs. Abigail Ellison added eight kills on the night and added seven digs. Shania Neubauer led the team in digs with 15. Emily Feller led the team in assists with 35.

The Vikings were led by Katie Juarez, who had 13 kills hitting a percentage of .235. Kallene Klever led the team in digs with 14. Ellie Rush had 18 assists on the night.

Stats of the Match:
MSU-Northern had a hitting percentage of .154 on the day, while the Vikings hit .146. Northern also had 53 digs to Valley City had 50.
