The MSU-Northern Skylights played in the Preseason-Frontier Conference Tournament on Saturday. In their first match of the day, they won against Carroll College in four (26-28, 27-25, 25-23 and 25-18).
The Skylights lost in their second game against University of Providence (21-25, 25-23, 13-25 and 22-25).
The Skylights were led by
Rylee Burmester, who had 28 kills on the night.
Shania Neubauer led the team in digs with 50.
Emily Feller accounted for 80 assists on the night.
Carroll College was led by Katherine McEuen, who had 16 kills. Mara Lynch and Julia Carr led the team in digs with 18 each. Hannah Schweikert had 48 assists.
Mariah Jardine led Providence with 14 kills. Sacha Legros led the team in digs with 28. Cydney Finberg-Roberts led the team in assists with 43.
In the Skylights first match, they hit a percentage of .205, while Fighting Saints hit .189. Northern had 102 digs, as Carroll College had 108.
In Northern's second match, they had a hitting percentage of .136, as the Argos hit .212. The Skylights had 69 digs, while Providence had 78 digs.
The Skylights move to 10-7 overall.
The Saints move to 7-8 overall.
The Argos move to 12-2 overall.
