Skylights lost to Dickinson State 69-64

Story of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Skylights lost to against Dickinson State University 64-69 on Tuesday in Havre, Montana. The Skylights pushed the lead to five in the first quarter. Steele hit a jumper to tie the game 11-11 with 2:29 left on the clock.  Peterson hit one out of two free throws to take the lead 12-11 at the end of the first quarter. The Skylights fought and took the lead to double digits going on a 9-0 run (24-14). Northern was up by eight with :15 seconds on the clock. The Blue Hawks came down and missed a jumper, as Wallace grabbed the offensive board. Pierson hit a layup at the buzzer going into halftime.

Dickinson state took that momentum into the third quarter, as they cut the lead to one going shot for shot with the Skylights. Dickinson tied the game twice, as Wallace made a basketball to take the lead by one going into the fourth quarter. The Hawks had so much momentum to turn the game around and took the lead by 10 with 4:59 left on the clock. The Skylights just couldn't dig out of the hole.

Individual Stats:
The Skylights were led by Briaunna McCullough, who had 14 points and five rebounds. Savannah Toms added 10 points and nine rebounds going 5-6 from the field. Taya Trottier added nine points going 3-4 from the threes.
 
The Blue hawks were led by Lindsay Peterson with 16 points going 6-12 from the field. Samantha Oase with a double-double had 15 points and 12 rebounds. Kayden Steele added 12 points going 4-9 from the field.

Stats of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Skylights shot a field goal percentage of 41, 37 percent from the arc, and 66 percent from the free throw line.
 
Dickinson shot 42 percentage from the field, 31 percent from the 3-point line, and 64 percent from the free throw.
