Lights Lose in Double Overtime Against Providence

Story of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Lights lost in double overtime against University of Providence 82-77 in their first Frontier Conference match on Thursday in Great Falls, Montana. The first half was a fight, as the Lights shot 31 percent from the field and 22 form the three-point line. Providence shot 43 percent from the field and 57 percent from the three-point line in the first half. Anderson made a lay up to cut into the lead by one. The Argo's went on a 8-0 run in the last 1:16 of the first half to push the lead to nine (28-37).

Northern came out in the second half shooting 41 percent from the field and 30 percent from the field. Providence dropped in the second half 29 percent from the field and 15 percent from the three-point line. The Argo's got 19 points lead on the Lights with 13:03 left on the clock. The Lights ended the second half on a 16-3 run to tie the game to push to overtime.

In overtime, Providence led by five with 1:48 left on the clock. Keltner hit a jumper to cut the lead to three. Martinez hit a three-point shot to tie the game to go into double overtime. The Argo's hit their free throws to take the lead by six with :10 left on the clock.

Individual Stats:
The Lights were led by Zackry Martinez with 14 points going 4-12 from the field. Myles Dalton added 14 points and five rebounds. Jesse Keltner had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Tanner McCliment-Call added 12 points. Immanuel Anderson added a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
 
The Argo's were led by Kenny Curtis with 29 points going 9-16 from the field. Jake Olson added 13 points and grabbed 17 rebounds. Eric Milner added 12 points, as Sam Vining added 11.

The MSU-Northern Lights shot a field goal percentage of 36, 28 percent from the arc, and 80 percent from the free throw line.
 
Providence shot 38 percentage from the field, 35 percent from the 3-point line, and 69 percent from the free throw.
