Skylights Hold Briercrest to 39 Points

Story of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Skylights hosted their Field Trip Day against Briercrest College winning 112-39 on Thursday in Havre, Montana. The gymnasium was filled with 800 to 900 screaming third and fourth graders. The Skylights took that momentum of the crowd and shot 70 percent from the field and 55 percent from the three-point line in the first half. Briercrest College shot 27 percent from the field and 14 percent from the three-point line in the first half. Northern was up at the end of half 60-21. Briercrest shot better in the second half shooting 29 percent from the field and 13 percent from the three for the game. The Skylights ended that game shooting 67 percent from the field and 53 percent from the three to take the game.

Individual Stats:
The Skylights had seven athletes in double figures. The Skylights led by Briaunna McCullough, who had 17 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and four steals. Jalen shot 77 percent from the field with 18 points. Ryley Kehr went 6-8 from the field with 15 points. Savannah Toms added 14 points, as Rachel can Blaricom had her best game as a Skylights with 13 points going 100 percent from the field. Shyan Krass and Dulci SkunkCap with her best game added 10 points each. SkunkCap led the team in assists with five.
 
Briercrest were led by Hope Jordens going 6-9 from the field with 12 points. Sdney Martens and Kiana Ens came off the bench with six points each. Matudzewsk led the team in rebounds with four.

Stats of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Skylights shot a field goal percentage of 67, 53 percent from the arc, and 82 percent from the free throw line.
 
Briercrest shot 29 percentage from the field, 13 percent from the 3-point line, and 25 percent from the free throw.

The Skylights are 4-5 in the overall season and 0-2 in Conference.
