Story of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Lights played Southern Oregon University on Saturday afternoon in Havre, Montana. The Lights lost to the raiders 6-56. Northern tallied 184 yards of total offense (141 passing and 43 rushing), while the Raiders accounted for 565, of which 265 yards were on the ground.

Northern quarterbackÂ
Brenden Medina went 13 for 22 through the air for 80 yards.
Cannan Smith caught three passes for 47 yards, whileÂ
Caymus Thomas had four catches for 26 yards.
Kaymen Cureton carried the ball eight times for 32 yards. Northern's defense was led by
Dylan Wampler who accounted for 10 total tackles (seven solo).
Hunter Riley and
Aidan Hoyt each added an interception.
Southern Oregon quarterback Blake Asciutto completed 21 of 28 passes for 285 yards and four touchdowns. Running back Champ Robertson carried the ball nine times for 117 yards. Adirk Lamar led the receivers with four catches for 142 yards with one touchdown. The defense was led by Cente Borja with four total tackles, two tackles for loss, and two sacks. Nolan Rinefort added six solo tackles and one tackle for loss.

The Lights will have a bye this week and will be home on September 17 for a Frontier Conference matchup with Montana Western. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. Saturday.
