Story of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Lights beat Carroll College 69-59 on a Saturday afternoon in Helena, Montana. Â The first was of the game was exciting, as the Lights took the lead going into halftime 30-24. Northern shot 42.9 percent from the field and the three points-line. The Fighting Saints shot 37 percent from the field and 1-4 from the three points-line.
CJ Nelson hit Northern's first 11 of 13 points after halftime to extend the lead to 15. The Saints cut into the lead by 10, but Northern kept a good pace to take the game.
Individual Stats:
The Lights were led by
CJ Nelson who had 22 points going 9-13 and adding eight rebounds. Dae'Kwaon Watson added 14 points shooting 50 percent from the field.
Jesse Keltner had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Fighting Saints were led by Andrew Cook, who had 20 points and six rebounds. Brendan Temple added 14 points going 5-13 from the field. Brayden Knoch added eight points.

The MSU-Northern Lights shot a field goal percentage of 49, 44 percent from the arc, and 62 percent from the free throw line.

The Lights will be on the road next week against Providence on January 19 at 7 p.m. They will head down the road to Billings to play Rocky Mountain College on January 21 at 4 p.m.
