Skylights Beat Against Carroll College 3-2

Story of the Match:
The MSU-Northern Skylights volleyball team won in a Frontier Conference matchup against Carroll College Wednesday night in Helena, Montana. The MSU-Northern Skylights won in five sets (25-23, 21-25, 15-25, 25-21, and 15-10). The beginning of the first set was close until the Skylights went on a 10-3 to take a good lead 20-14. The Fighting Saints put together a good run, but it wasn't enough, as the Northern takes the set.

The second set was anyone's game, as Carroll College went on a 6-0 at the end of the set to take it. Carroll continued their momentum into the third set, as they took the lead early and never looked back. The Skylights pushed the lead in the fourth set 20-12. Carroll College went on 6-0 run to cut into the lead, but the Skylights pulled out the win of the set. The Skylights took the lead early in the fifth set and never looked back.

Stars of the Match:
The Skylights were led by Jessalyn Chvilicek, who tallied 12 kills with a hitting percentage of .086. Alana Graves added 11 kills. Baily Egan led the team in digs with 31. Macee Murphy led the team in assists with 27.

The Fighting Saints were led by Mara Lynch, who had 13 kills hitting a percentage of .189. Jansyn Carrizales and Maddie Wilkes led the team with 22 assists each in the match. Julia Carr led the team with 35 digs.

Stats of the Match:
MSU-Northern had a hitting percentage of .118 on the day, while Carroll hit .134. The Skylights had 54 assists, as the Saints had 53. Northern also had 103 digs to Carroll 101.
