NaKoda Siegel was named NAIA Wrestler of the Week. This was chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independent)/unaffiliated group nominees.
Redshirt-senior, Siegel (174), had an incredible start to his final year. He beat No. 13 Jordan Komac from University of Providence in a decision 8-3 on Wednesday's dual. At the Grand View Open he took home first-place going 5-0. In the first round, he dominated Tony Connor (Missouri Baptist) by a tech fall 19-2. He goes on to beat Caleb Swalla (Grand View) by a decision 7-2. In the Quarter Final round, Siegel won by a sudden victory 8-5 over Manny Rojas from Iowa State. Siegel took down No. 4 Alex Reynolds (Grand View) by a close decision 4-2. In the Championship round, he beat Iowa State Carter Schmidt by a sudden Victory 4-1.
