The Skylights Finished 1-2 in Butte

Story of the Match:
The MSU-Northern Skylights volleyball team fell to (RV) The College of Idaho on Saturday afternoon in Butte, Montana. The MSU-Northern Skylights lost in three sets (32-30, 25-18, and 26-24).

The Skylights was able the lead in the middle of the first set. The Yotes went on a 5-1 run to take the lead. The set went back and forth until College of Idaho took the last two points to win the set.

The Yotes got off to a great start in the second set 9-1. The Skylights got down to far that they were able to comeback from it.

The Skylights look the lead early in the third set, as they were able to control the first half. Northern had a error to help College Idaho to tie the game at 15-15 for the first time of the set. They were able to tie the set up one more time before controlling the game. The Skylights went on a 4-0 run to tie the game back, but the Yotes took the last two points to take the match.

Stars of the Match:
The Skylights were led by Emily Feller who had 10 kills with a .222 percentage. She also led the team in assists with 25 and also added 13 digs. Alana Graves added eight kills to the match. Josie Hasler led the team in digs with 15.

The Yotes were led by Janae Rayborn who had 17 kills on only three errors hitting a percentage of .424. Alexa Wheeler added nine kills hitting a .500. Savannah Hutchins led the team in assists with 31 and 15 digs. Clair Hodge led the team in digs with 19.

Stats of the Match:
The MSU-Northern had a hitting percentage of .179 on the day, while College of Idaho hit .241. Northern also had 62 digs to the Yotes 73.

Next:
The Skylights will be heading to Surprise, Arizona to play in the Ottawa University-Arizona Tournament on August 25-26. Their first game is on August 25 against Park-Gilbert University at 3 pm. They will play later that day against Ottawa University-Arizona.
