The Lights Fall to No. 12 College of Idaho 28-7

Story of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Lights lost against No. 12 The College of Idaho 28-7 in Havre. Northern tallied 142 yards of total offense (99 passing), while the Yotes accounted for 466, of which 360 yards were in the air.  The Lights started the game off strong scoring the first touchdown on their first drive of the game. After the first quarter, the game was tied 7-7. The Yotes came out in the second quarter scoring 14 points. College of Idaho scored one more time in the third quarter and finished the game 28-1.

Individual Stats:
Northern quarterback Zach Brooks went 10 for 20 through the air for 99 yards and one touchdown. Mason Dionne carried the ball 14 times for 46 yards. Colter Woldstad had two catches for 46 yards. Spencer Lehnerz led the defense with six tackles, one tackle for loss of four yards and two breakups. Lucas Thacker added five tackles one sack, one tackle for loss of three yards, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.

The College of Idaho quarterback Andy Peters completed 23 of 37 passes for 349 yards and two touchdowns. Hunter Gilbert carried the ball 10 times for 63 yards. John Kreps had four catches for 97 yards with one touchdown. The Yotes defense was led by Kobe Roberts who had six tackles 2 tackles for loss and one sack.

The Lights so Far:
The Lights moved to 0-6 on the season and 0-4 in Conference.

The Lights will be head to Ashland Oregon to play Southern Oregon on October 26 at 2pm.
