Lights Drop at Home Against Montana Western

Story of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Lights lost to Montana Western 56-14 on Saturday afternoon in Havre, Montana. Northern tallied 191 yards of total offense (146 Rushing), while the Bulldogs accounted for 358, of which 220 yards were in the air. Montana Western shut down the Lights in the first half going into halftime 35-0. The Lights scored late in the third quarter. They also scored early in fourth quarter after they brought pressure on a punt. Forcing the punter to punt for 9 yards setting up a good field position for the Lights to score.

Individual Stats:
Northern quarterback Ashton Platt went 3 for 9 through the air for 40 yards. Devin Shelton caught four passes for 45 yards. Mason Dionne carried the ball 22 times for 109 yards. Northern's defense was led by Lucas Thacker with 10 tackles. Braydon Cline added five tackles and one sack.  

Montana Western quarterback Michael completed 9 of 13 passes for 97 yards and three touchdowns. Jake Humphrey led the team in rushing yards with 97 and two touchdowns. Dylan Shipley led the receivers with three catches for 116 yards. The defense was led by Landon Charlton who had five tackles and one interception and a return for 21 yards.

The Lights move to 0-8 on the season and 0-7 in Conference.
