Story of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Light won in their season opener against Embry-Riddle Aeronautical with a score of 74-67 in Billings, Montana. The Lights went on an 8-0 run to start the game. They pushed the lead to double-digits a within the first half. The Eagles went on cut the lead to six going into halftime. Northern took the lead by double-digits against, but Embry-Riddle didn't quit they cut the lead to four. The Lights were able to hold on to take the game.

Individual Stats:
The Lights were led by Cinque Maxwell who had 17 points going 6-9 from the field. Leon Sayers IV went 7-8 from the field with 15 points and seven rebounds. Jack Reardon added 14 points going 50 percent from the field.
 
The Eagles were led by Demari Hackett who was just shy of a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds. Conner Ivy and Isaiah Wong added 13 points each

The MSU-Northern Lights shot a field goal percentage of 58, 35 percent from the arc, and 61 percent from the free throw line.
