Story of the Match:
The MSU-Northern Skylights volleyball team beat Carroll College in Helena, Montana. The MSU-Northern Skylights won against the Fighting Saints in five sets (18-25, 19-25, 25-23, 26-24 and 15-10). Carroll took the lead early in the first set after a 6-1 run (16-7). The Fighting Saints kept a steady lead to take the first set. The Saints kept the momentum into the second set taking the lead early. The Skylights went on a 6-0 run, but it wasn't enough to take the set.
Northern turned the third set around, as they took a good lead early 13-5. Carroll was able to come back and tie the set at 22. The Skylights went on a 3-1 run to take the third set. Northern pushed the momentum into the fourth set taking the lead 11-5. The Saints put together some good runs to take the lead 21-20. The Skylights finished the set strong going on a 7-2 run to push the match to five sets. In the fifth set, the Skylights took the lead early 6-1. Carroll tried to battle back, but it wasn't enough to win the match.
