Box Score Story of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Lights started their season against Mayville State University in Mayville. The Lights lost to Mayville 24-6. At half time, the Comets take the lead 10-6. Mason Dionne rushed for 61 yards for a touchdown with a minute left in half.   

Northern tallied 155 yards of total offense (58 passing and 97 rushing), while the Comets accounted for 293, of which 180 yards were in the air. 

Individual Stats:
Northern quarterback Zack Brooks went 4 for 12 through the air for 58 yards. Mason Dionne carried the ball 18 times for 105 yards and one touchdown. Devin Shelton had two catches on the afternoon for 29 yards. Brady Smelser had six total tackles.
