The Frontier Conference has named 446 student-athletes from fourteen (14) conference programs as Academic All-Conference, presented by Billings Clinic and Logan Health.
College of Idaho led the way with 61 recipients on the academic honor list, followed by Carroll (Mont.) with 46 student-athletes. Arizona Christian, Dakota State (S.D.), Dickinson State (N.D.), Eastern Oregon, Mayville State (N.D.), Montana State University-Northern, Montana Tech, Montana Western, Rocky Mountain (Mont.), Simpson (Calif.), Southern Oregon, and Valley City State (N.D.) also had students-athletes on the Academic All-Conference list.
To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore in standing and carry a minimum 3.25 cumulative grade point average (GPA).
Carroll opens their postseason play in the NAIA Football Championship Series (FCS), when it gets underway on Saturday afternoon. The Saints, as the No. 14 seed, host No. 17 seed St. Thomas (Fla.) in Helena with a 1 p.m. (Mountain Time) kick-off time.
No. 3 seed Montana Tech and No. 8 seed College of Idaho each received the first-round bye and will host a playoff contest on Saturday, Nov. 29, with the opponents to be announced after the first-round contests are completed.
