The MSU-Northern Skylights battled past Walla Walla University in four sets Friday night, earning a 25-17, 28-26, 22-25, 25-21 victory.

Northern came out strong in the opening frame, cruising to a 25-17 win behind steady offense and aggressive serving. The second set proved far more competitive. The Skylights built an early 8-4 lead with a 7-1 run, but the Wolves answered with five straight points late to go up 25-24. Northern regrouped, closing out the set 28-26 to take a 2-0 match advantage.

Walla Walla refused to go quietly, erasing a 15-10 deficit in the third with an 11-5 surge to win 25-22. In the fourth, the Wolves controlled the early momentum before Northern stormed back with a decisive 5-0 run to seize a 16-14 lead and never looked back, securing the match 25-21.

The Skylights tallied 53 kills, eight aces, and hit .222 on the night. Kadence Wiggins led the way with 13 kills at a blistering .500 clip, while Lexi Jones chipped in 11 kills. Setter Macee Selman dished out 25 assists to go with 13 digs, and Addison Falls Down added 17 assists and a team-high 21 digs.

Despite outhitting Northern 61 kills to 53, Walla Walla finished with a .180 hitting percentage. The Wolves were powered by Sahara Broning's 20 kills and 21 digs, while Olivia Cheek handed out 26 assists.
