In a high-scoring Frontier Conference women's basketball matchup, Montana State University-Northern Skylights pulled out a 92–82 road victory over Dickinson State in an entertaining game that saw strong performances on both sides.

Dickinson State struck first and opened with an early lead, but the Skylights steadily chipped away and took control in the second quarter. The Skylights continued to assert themselves through the middle quarters and carried momentum into the fourth, outlasting the Blue Hawks in a back-and-forth finish.

Leading the way for Northern was sharpshooter Becky Melcher, who poured in 28 points, including an efficient night from beyond the arc. Teammate Ciera Agasiva added 22 points, combining physical inside play with confident scoring. Canzas HisBadHorse dominated the paint with a double-double, finishing with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Taya Trottier contributed a well-rounded performance with 12 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.

For Dickinson State, the Blue Hawks got big nights from their top scorers despite the loss. J'Ell Garfield scored 22 points, and Anhelica Shanrock chipped in 21 to keep her team competitive throughout. Kaylin Garza also provided a strong offensive effort with 20 points.

Montana State-Northern's balanced scoring attack and key runs in the second and third quarters helped them build a lead Dickinson State couldn't quite overcome, even with late pushes in the fourth quarter.

The Skylights push to 14-6 overall and 10-5 in conference. The Skylights will head to Bismarck State to play them tomorrow at 4pm.
