The Raiders jumped out early at 125 pounds as Isaac Hampton earned a forfeit to give Southern Oregon the opening six points. Momentum continued at 133 and 141, where Zachary Keinonen and Tyler Rhue picked up back-to-back decisions, extending the lead with wins over Kolten Powers (4–2) and Caleb Morales (5–1), respectively.
At 149 pounds, Dylan Clark delivered the first major statement of the night, securing a technical fall (21–5) over Jackson Syron to push the SOU advantage even further. The Lights responded at 157, as Ryan Graves battled to a narrow 5–4 decision over Cole Zoller, putting the Lights on the scoreboard.
Southern Oregon answered quickly at 165 when Ryan Carroll recorded a fall at the 4:30 mark against Diego Manzo. MSU–Northern showed resilience again at 174, with Justin Windauer earning an 8–4 decision over Jackson Potts.
The Raiders regained full control late in the dual. Adrian Chavez-Morales pinned Cade Gubler at 184 (2:39), followed by Asher Ruchti's dominant major decision (11–0) over Nathan Andrina at 197. At heavyweight, Northern closed the night on a positive note as Shane Mattson earned a 5–1 decision over Sebastian Echeverria.
An unsportsmanlike conduct penalty assessed to MSU–Northern resulted in a two-point deduction, rounding out the final score. With multiple bonus-point victories and consistent scoring throughout the lineup, Southern Oregon secured the 31–9 team win.
