Cross Country Ink Browning Runner Tucker

Montana State University-Northern Head Cross Country Coach Deborah Callahan announced the signing of Jaden Tucker to join the Cross Country and Distance Track program in the fall.

"I'm very excited that Jaden will be coming to MSU-Northern and joining our Cross Country and Track team" said Coach Callahan. "His perseverance, ability to work through adversity, eagerness to improve, will strengthen our team." "We are excited to be part of his advancing to the next level of his academic and athletic career."

Jaden is from Browning, MT. As a runner in cross country, Jaden achieved a personal best time of 18.20 in the 5000-meter event. On the track, his times continued to improve across multiple distances, including 59.7 in the 400 meters, 2:26 in the 800 meters, 5.13 in the 1600 meters and 11.52 in the 3200 meters. His athletic performance was key to Browning's achievements: 2nd place finish at the Western A Fall Classic for both 2025 and 2024, 3rd Place finish at the 2024 and a 1st Place finish in 2023 at the Class A State Cross Country Championship.

Jaden's commitment and adaptability were evident throughout high school, where he earned letters, varsity awards and is part of the National Honors Society.

His grit, determination and outstanding work ethic got him where he is today." "He is encouraging when it is hard, steady when it counts and he is the teammate every program needs."

"Jaden is one of our exceptional runners who comes from a proud family tradition of running." states Kellen Hall, AD for the Browning High School. "His passion for running is evident in everything he does. He approaches competition calm, cool and collected, embracing the journey with strong commitment to consistency."

Jaden is the son of Micheal Westwolf and Candace Tucker." If resiliency was a person, it would be Jaden." states Candace.  "He is the first in our family to sign and run collegiately, and for that, we are excited to see where the road takes him."

Jacob plans to major in Integrated Health with an interest in sports medicine. When asked why he chose Northern, he replied, "I chose MSUN because it is similar environment to my school at Browning. I love their colors and the environment at Northern."  Coach Callahan states "We look forward to his contribution to the team and watching him grow here at Northern!"
