Assistant Coach – MSU-Northern Lights Basketball

Cody Wendlandt is entering his second season with the MSU-Northern Lights basketball program, where he plays a vital role in the team’s day-to-day operations and long-term development. His responsibilities include scouting, recruiting, practice and workout planning, player skill development, strength training, and coordinating travel logistics.

Before joining the Lights, Cody served as an assistant coach for the highly successful 2023–2024 Glacier Peak High School boys basketball team, helping lead the program to an impressive 25–4 overall record and a 3rd place finish in Washington’s 4A state classification. Prior to that, he was a student assistant coach at Central Washington University during the 2022–2023 season, where the team placed 4th in regular season GNAC standings and advanced to the conference tournament semifinals.

Cody earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance from Central Washington University in just three years, graduating in 2023 with a cumulative GPA of 3.489. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Teaching with a content specialization in Business at MSU-Northern while continuing his coaching duties.

Originally from Snohomish, Washington, Cody brings energy, intelligence, and a strong work ethic to every aspect of the program. He is excited to call Havre, Montana home for another year as he continues to grow within the coaching profession and contribute to the Lights’ success.
