Sierra Woodward (7th season)
Sierra Woodward enters her seventh season as the Skylight assistant and second as the Associate Head Coach. She also served as a student assistant following her playing career during the 2017-2018 season. She had a highly-successful two-year career as a player, where she helped the Skylights to two consecutive NAIA National Tournaments (including a Sweet 16 appearance in 2017) and an overall record of 47-18. During her two-year career, she scored 568 points and grabbed 458 rebounds. As a senior, she was an All-Conference selection and also became the 19th player in the history of the program to be named an All-American, earning Honorable Mention status. Coach Woodward earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion in 2018 and her Master of Science Degree in Education, Instruction, and Learning from MSU-Northern in 2021.
Sierra is a 2013 graduate of Kelso High School (WA), where she starred in softball and basketball. At Lower Columbia College, she was an all-league selection in both sports.
Woodward is active in all aspects of the Northern program and directs the Skylight strength program and works with the Skylight post players. She plays a major role in academic success and monitoring and is the Sports Information Director at MSU-Northern.
Sierra is happily married to Trenton Woodward. They have one daughter (Kealey).
