Havre, Mont.- The UGF Argos picked up their first dual win of the year by upsetting the No. 4 MSU-Northern Lights 23-13. Northern now moves to 1-1.
Both teams faced off twice last season with the Lights winning both duals, the first being a nail-biter with Northern winning 19-18 and the second giving the Lights the blowout win 37-6.
UGF started tonight's dual off winning the first three matches with an impressive 19-3 technical fall victory in the 125 division that saw Isaac Wilson defeat freshman
Robert Pair.
Sophomore
Drake Randall (149) and senior
Tommy Cooper (157) picked up wins in their respective divisions by decisions and moved the score to 6-11 in favor of the Argos.
The match of the night was in the 165 division and featured UGF's No. 7 Khaldoon Rashid against Northern's No. 6 sophomore
Andrew Bartel. After a back and forth battle, Rashid came away with the 7-6 decision win.
The Argos won the next two matches at the 174 and 184 divisions and put the dual out of reach for Northern, but seniors
