Story of the Game
Senior night at the Armory Gymnasium didn't quite pan out the way the Skylights had expected as Northern dropped their final home game of the regular season to the University of Providence in four sets losing 1-3 (25-23, 21-25, 19-25, 20-25). Poor hitting plagued both teams as neither hit higher then .100 and combined for 62 total hitting errors.

Cassie Krueger had 11 kills on 52 attempts, 12 digs, and two blocks (one solo and two assisted).
Right side hitter
Mikayla Virostek had eight kills on 24 attempts and four blocks (three solo and two assisted).

Kylie Pasieka had two aces, 12 digs, and one block (two assisted).
Turning Point
After falling behind 1-4 to start off the first set, the Skylights scored four straight points to move ahead of the Argos 5-4. The set saw 21 ties and seven lead changes until freshman setter
Shania Neubauer connected with Krueger on a kill to win the first set 25-23. Northern and Providence battled for much of the second set with the Argos coming out on top. UP eventually won the third and fourth set to get the match victory.

The Skylights So Far
Northern is now 9-14 overall and 3-6 in the Frontier Conference.

The Skylights are on the road today as they travel to Helena to take on the Fighting Saints of Carroll College. Match time is set for 7:00 PM at The PE Center and all game links are posted on the schedule page.
