Despite Huse's heroic shot, Lights fall to No.12 Saints

Story of the Game
With just .6 seconds left on the clock in regulation, sophomore guard Adam Huse hit a game-tying turnaround jumper from half court to send the game into overtime against the No.12 Saints of Carroll College.  The Lights came up short in the extra period as they fell to the nationally rankled Saints 90-99.

Stat of the Game
Northern connected on 12 three-pointers for the night with Huse and junior guard Gabe Porter each knocking down five.  The Lights held the Saints to six shots from deep.

Turning Point
After shooting an impressive 55.6 percent from the field (15-of-27), the Lights used a nine-point lead to put them ahead 39-30 at the break.  In the second half, Northern held a double digit lead until the four-minute mark.  Carroll College went on a run in the closing minutes to not only tie, but take the three-point lead with .6 seconds on the game clock.  Huse's incredible buzzer beater sent the game into overtime.  In the extra period, the Lights quickly fell behind by four points and came as close as 86-88 after a Charles Porter up-and-under layup at the 3:15 mark.  The Saints pulled away after to steal the win on the road.
