Story of the Game
New head coach Rose Obunaga captured her first win at MSU- Northern after her squad took down the tournament host, Johnson & Wales University, in three straight sets (25-20, 25-17, 25-10). 

Stat of the Match
Northern hitters bounced back in a big way connecting on 31 of 70 attacks (.271 hitting percentage).  Senior outside hitter Cassie Krueger collected 12 kills to pace the Skylights.  Sophomore setter Hailey Warren tallied 20 assists.

Turning Point
The Skylights rattled off seven straight points midway through the second set and cruised to a 25-17 win.  A nine point run in the third set sealed the victory for Northern.

The Skylights So Far
Northern picked up their first win of the season and move to 1-2 in non-conference play (1-2 overall).
