Story of the Game
The 2016 defending national champions from Hastings College handed MSU-Northern their second loss at the Johnson & Wales Wildcat Classic.  The No. 1 ranked Broncos defeated the Skylights in three straight sets (25-17, 25-19, 25-11).

Stat of the Match
Northern finished with a .047 hitting percentage, only connecting on 18 of their 85 attempts.  Three players paced the Skylights with four kills apiece (junior middle hitter Mikayla Virostek, sophomore middle hitter Haley Yoder, and senior outside hitter Cassie Krueger).   

Turning Point
The Skylights battled back-and-forth in the first set and tied the game at 6-6.  From there, the Broncos pulled away and went on to win 25-17.  They carried their momentum into the next two sets to win the match 3-0.

The Skylights So Far
Northern is now on a two game losing streak to start the season.  They move to 0-2 in non-conference action (0-2 overall).
