The Lights fell to the Frontier Conference defending champions No. 6 Montana Tech Orediggers 27-70 at Blue Pony Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Â

Tommy Wilson continued to lead the offensive attack for the Lights by going 26/51 for 361 yards and throwing three touchdowns. Â On the defensive end, junior linebacker
Alec Wagner came up big with two fumble recoveries and 7 total tackles.
Turning Point
Northern struck first in the opening stanza asÂ
Tommy Wilson connected with freshman wide receiver
Marvin Williams on an incredible 82-yard touchdown pass that put the Lights up 7-0. Â The lead didn't last long as the Diggers went on to score five unanswered touchdowns. Â The Lights went into the half down 20-42.
The Lights So Far
Northern is now on a two-game losing streak and sits 0-2 in Frontier Conference action.
