Story of the Game
Coach
Rose Obunaga's offensive adjustments following the Menlo College Tournament proved to be just what Northern needed as they completed their second sweep of the University of Providence "Unveiling" Invitational against Dickinson State University.  The Skylights defeated the Bluehawks 25-20, 28-26, 25-18.
Stat of the Game
The Skylights showed solid play at the net on the defensive side by collecting 11 total blocks to DSU's three.  Northern posted just one blocking error on the day.  Sophomore middle hitterÂ
Katia Michelotti led the squad with six.
Turning Point
Northern won the first set with a slight five point advantage and were tested in the second set as Dickinson State pushed the Skylights in to 10 different ties, the last one being at 26-26. Â Kills by senior outside hitter
Cassie Krueger and
Michelotti helped to put the game away.  Northern's 6-0 run in the third set carried them to the 25-18 victory.
The Skylights So Far
Finishing 2-0 at the UP "Unveiling" Invitational moves the Skylights to 6-8 on the season.
