Story of the Game
The Skylights used their best hitting and blocking performances of the season to defeat the University of Providence Argos in three straight sets (25-18, 25-23, 25-23) at the McLaughlin Center last night in Frontier Conference action.
Stats of the Game
Northern dominated both the offensive and defensive ends at the net , collecting 41 kills (with just 12 errors on 90 attempts) for a hitting percentage of 0.322 and 14 total blocks (three solo blocks, 22 block assists).  Senior outside hitter

Timi Severson each tallied 11 kills while sophomore right side hitterÂ
Katia Michelotti produced two solo blocks and three block assists.
Turning Point
After taking the first set by seven points, the Skylights saw themselves down 17-21 late in the second set. Â Northern pulled within two points of the Argos at 20-22 and used a five point run to steal the set. Â The third and final set was a back-and-forth battle right until the end, but freshman setterÂ
Shania Neubauer dished out five of her 31 assists in the final rallies to secure the win.
The Skylights So Far
A Frontier Conference record of 2-1 (8-9 overall) has Northern sitting in third place, one win behind second place Rocky Mountain College and one win ahead of Carroll College.
Up Next
