Skylights rally falls short at #14 Providence

Story of the Game
The two teams met Wednesday night for their second Frontier Conference meeting in a closely contested matchup.  A furious comeback for the Skylights lead by Senior PG Brandy Lambourne's career high 30 points fell short in the games final minute.
 
Stat of the Game
The Lady Argos pulled down 9 offensive rebounds as compared to the Skylights' 4, in a game that was not decided until the final buzzer.
 
Turning Point
With 3:50 remaining in the game, Lady Argo Steph McDonagh sank a three point shot extending their lead to 10. Down 5 with only seconds left, the Skylights' Lambourne drove to the hoop in a flash and scored, cutting the lead to 3 with :47 seconds remaining. The Skylights were unable to come up with a stop for an opportunity to tie the game at the end of regulation.
 
The Skylights So Far
After a tough loss against the nation's #14 ranked team, the Skylights will look for their senior leadership to step up and make plays with 11 conference games left in the regular season.

The Skylights look to get back into the win column when they host the Montana Tech Lady Orediggers (1-5) on Saturday, January 18 in Havre. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
