Story of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Lights traveled to Carroll College in a Frontier Conference contest on Saturday afternoon in Havre. The Lights fall to the Saints 56-7. Northern tallied 375 yards of total Offense (187 passing and 188 rushing), while the Saints accounted for 539, of which 409 yards were on the ground.
Individual Stats:
Northern quarterback
Tommy Wilson went 23 for 36 through the air for 187 yards and rushed for 1 touchdown.
Bryce Bumgardner caught 4 passes for 94 yards, while
Keagan Stroop had 9 catches for 53 yards.
Samuel Braboy carried the ball nine times for 94 yards. Northern's defense was led by
Jaren Maki, who accounted for 10 tackles, while
Caymus Thomas tallied nine.
Carroll quarterback Hunter Bledsoe completed eight of 12 passes for 97 yards and two touchdowns. On the ground, the Saints produced 409 yards. Running back Ryan Arntson carried the ball 18 times for 286 yards and two scores. Eric Dawson led the Raiders receivers with four catches for 38 yards, and Troy Arntson had two receptions for 36 yards for one touchdown. Carroll College defense was led by McBirde Galt and Reece Quade who had seven tackles each.
The Lights so Far:
The Lights are 1-8 overall and 0-8 in Conference play. Carroll College move to 4-5 overall and 3-5 in Conference play.
