Skylights Win 69-55 Against Northwest Christian University

Story of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Skylights got their third win (69-55) of the season against Northwest Christian University in Kirkland Wash on Saturday night. Northern outscored Northwest Christian University in three of the four quarters (15-12, 23-8, 16-21, and 15-14). Going into halftime, the Skylights were up by 18 points. Northwest Christian never gave up, as they came out in the third quarter shooting five of five from the three-point line, cutting the lead to nine. The Skylights hit shots at the end of the game to keep the lead and pull off the win.

Individual Stats:
There were three Skylights that shot in double figures on the night. Freshman Allix Goldhahn led the Skylights offense with 17 points shooting five of seven from the field and four for four from the three-point line. Sydney Hovde had her first double-double as a Skylight scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Gokce Aslan added 14 points making five of seven from the field and three for three from the behind the arc.

Northwest Christian University was led by Shanay Dotson scoring 14 points from the field and six assists. Kaylynn Bush and Connor Borigo added seven points each.

Stats of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Skylights shot 54.3 percent making 25 of 46 shots from the field. The Skylights were on fire behind the arc, as they made nine of 15 (60 percent). They also sunk 10 of 11 free throws.
