Story of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Lights hosted Eastern Oregon in a Frontier Conference contest Saturday night in Havre. The Lights fall to the Mountaineers 58-24. Northern tallied 360 yards of total offense (238 passing and 77 rushing), while the Mountaineers accounted for 637 (376 passing and 261 rushing). Each team had an interception on the night.
Individual Stats:
Northern quarterback
Tommy Wilson went 22 for 36 through the air for 283 yards with two touchdowns and rushed for another touchdown.
Bryce Bumgardner had received four passes on 71 yards with one touchdown, while
Keagan Stroop caught four on 71 yards. Defense was led by
Morgan McCrary with seven total tackles (two solo and five assisted).
Ostin Welch,
Jake Norby, and
Justin Pfeifer each had six tackles each.
Gary Carter added an interception.
Eastern Oregon was led by Kai Quinn who completed 22 passes on 32 attempts for 330 yards and adding three touchdowns. Victor Dias had 14 rushing attempts with a total of 134 yards with two touchdowns. Brenden Kelly caught four passes for 108 yards and adding two touchdowns. Chris Kindle, Isaiah Cranford, and Garret DeVos each had six total tackles. Zackary Jacobs had an interception.
The Lights so Far:
The Lights fall to 1-5 overall and 0-5 in conference, as Eastern Oregon move to 3-2 in conference.
